Favorite Style of Dance and why
« on: February 07, 2008, 06:26:48 PM »

This area is the Dance portion of EZ, post your favorite dance music and why.
What makes you move to it?

I'll start;

Swing, because of the beat. It's heart pounding... especially if you know the whole dance to Sing swing sing. (In which Kaleen you're gonna have to refresh my memory on the dance.)

Salsa, because its hot... need I explain more. It's the sexiest dance I know, just the feeling on the two bodies mingling together. It's purely awe-inspiring.

Pop n' lock, because you provide an act if you will, when preforming it. And when done right within a group it's quite the show to see.

Dance is it...
Ok Swing- Sing sing sing rules (hero get back to calgary and help me find the right song and we'll both reveiw)
I really like swing for its energy and the fact that you can use almost any 4/4 time song with some speed to it.
I also like Tap (it makes cool noise with feet) and it is challanging
Mambo because it is quick and really sexual
Jazz (kinda like hip hop with stronger ballet influences) because again it requires lots and lots of energy
Ballet because it make you look very strong and graceful
charater dance-this is like acting but you have to stay in character while maintaining technique of what ever style it is in (thriller, smooth criminal or Swan lake for those familier with the FLSH dance club)

Well... I love dancing... period! Let's see...

Salsa - sensuous movements, basically it's sex on the dance floor ^^
Belly Dance - isolated movements as well as difficult and intense movements. you need to be able to use ALL of your muscles for this one... by far one of the most difficult that I've tried.
Rave - Ark described it well
Lyrical - intense emotion feeling shown through fluid and difficult movements
Hip Hop - fluid movements turn to sharp expressive movements

I like any type of dance basically, but those are my top five
