It's true. I don't think minors really need to hear this.

About a week ago, a 40 yr old woman was found murdered by Franklin LRT Station.
Today, about a couple hours ago, another woman was found dead.

I have officially declared that Calgary is no longer safe and women that are on this forum that live in Calgary should be aware of this.


Am I wrong?

Well...I understand your concerns but you have to think for a minute, the chances of you actually getting murdered in a city filled with a million people are slim to none. You probably have a better chance of getting in a car crash then murdered. But at the same time that's not to say you shouldn't keep it in mind. Just be aware of your actions and avoid the streets alone at night in shady areas...that's my take on it anyway.

I agree but I won't be taking the trains after dark alone (I don't anyway but even more reason not to)

oh and a tip Use the buddy system

Chanallee and I ALWAYS call each other if we are traveling by transit after dark. we do it so if something happens we can call the cops and the family to tell them what happened and get them picked up and taken to safety. it helps with nervous and keeps us a bit safer. Chanallee and I have had some bad experiences and I hope you can take our trick to help you.

buddy system works great.. just as long as the person on the other end doesn't forget what to do when something is going on... another tip for transit at night... never never sit INSIDE the bus shelters
