Stuff in the woods
« on: January 20, 2008, 10:37:35 PM »

*perched in the comfort of a tree, a sleek black panther watched the three others below arrive in the general area. Not one to particularily take interest in the games of others but enjoy freedom and the hunt, it was a lazy day and it seemed like the best thing to do at the moment. Dark eyes lazily searched the surroundings, not finding anything to threatening, waiting for one of the others to eventually notice him*

-A young woman would stroll between the trees, brushing the leaves with the tips of her fingers. A slight breeze stirred her shoulder-length hair as she walked. She would then pause, sensing the presence of someone close by. Looking around her she would eventually spot the panther perched in the tree not far from where she stood. She stared at it for a moment, not fearing it but merely curious. She raised her hand in a small wave- Hello...

*dark eyes of the panther look down at the young girl, an almost human nod of the feline head towards the greeting of the girl, head resting back down on the cat's front paws, looking at the girl*

-She would wrinkle her nose at the big cat then- You're no fun... -She tilted her head a little to the side in an almost child-like manor, making her bangs fall over her forehead-  What are you doing here? I have never seen one of you in a place like this..

*the cat tilts his head to the side, then gets up, stretching before jumping down, form shifting as he reached the ground, now a 6'7 tall man covered in silver tattoos running up and down his arms and shoulders and up his neck just under his jaw, he wears simple brown vest and pants, a spear resting on his back, the blade made of a strange flowing silver, he looks at the girl*

I am meerly in the area passing through... and I am certain you have not seen anything quite like me around here...

-She girl clicked her tongue as she regarded the man's stature from her own 5'5 height then gave a low whistle. She placed her hands gently on her hips and tilted her chin upwards, feeling slightly vulnerable next to such a tall person, but refused to let it show on her face.-

...Have you ever considered a career in basketball?

Hm? I don't know what you mean

*he looked at you with an intense look, his dark eyes with a strange piercing quality, like moonlight looking upon the world. He seemed to notice a bit of your discomfort as he stepped back a few steps to give you more space between each other*

What brings you out here?

-Her trademark grin spread her lips and a hint of fang glinted in the darkness. A thin stream of violet pierced the blue in her eyes, making her person seem somewhat darker.-

Basketball...it's a game...you know what people do for fun. And as for what brought me out here, it's called an evening walk...people do that sometimes.

-She would examine her long, white nails and flick a few specks of dirt that were caught under them-

And all these people you know that do these evening walks are as sarcastic?

*he watched your mannerisms, the way a cat observes its surroundings, with unmoving eyes and a relaxed stance*

-She would laugh softly and brush the bangs from her eyes. Her form moved over to a nearby tree where she would sit at its base, leaning back against the trunk and stretching her legs in front of her-

Sarcastic? Me? Never!

Mhmm

-She nodded. Suddenly her face lit up and she jumped to her feet with a kind of energetic grace, barely disturbing the grass below her feet-

Would you like to see it?

Are you sure you can keep up?

-She smiled then and turned to run full-tilt into the trees and disappeared, the leaves barely rustling as she passed them-

*As he starts to move forward, his form shifts to that of a tiger, in a full run moving after you, his form catching up to yours after a while and running along side of you, dark eyes looking up at you occasionally*
